Now this is going to sound silly, but after becoming vegan, the thing I look forward to the most is meal times because I’m able to experiment with different fruits and discove new smoothie combinations!
This one has got the perfect balance between a citrus zing and delicious sweetness. Love it, though I have to admit, it doesn’t quite beat the Banana Date Smoothie (Try it, honestly that stuff is addictive!) The serving size would be one small snack for me, if I were to have it as a meal I would quadruple the recipe.
Zingy Sweet Papaya Smoothie
1 Serving (for a small snack)
2 large mandarins (or 1 orange)
2 frozen bananas
4 medjool dates
water/ non dairy milk/ coconut water
1. Add all ingredients to your blender
2. Pour in the liquid depending on how thick you like your smoothies- if you like it fairy thin, pour in the water till it covers the other ingredients, otherwise, half or two thirds of the way will create a creamier texture.
3. Blend till smooth, and serve immediately!
