I love starting my day with a fresh smoothie! It’s the perfect way to greet a new day and instantly provides your body with those fruity carbs it needs to function! In this recipe I’m using spinach, but feel free to experiment with different greens; celery and kale are two of my favourites (Recipes coming soon) Be sure to tag me in your green smoothie creations, I want to see what combinations you can come up with!
Green Power Smoothie
Makes approx. 2L
3 large handfuls of spinach
2-3 large bananas
flesh of 2 medium/ large mango
3tbsp. coconut sugar
6 medjool dates (pitted and cut into smaller pieces)
1.5L water (more or less depending on the thickness of the smoothie you prefer)
ice cubes (optional, it’s winter for me here in New Zealand, so ice cubes aren’t the best idea. But it’s perfect if you’re needing a cool down from the hot summer weather!)
1. Add the ingredients to a blender, and pour in the water based on your preference of the smoothie thickness.
2. Blend up and serve immediately.
