Creamy Caramel Banana Smoothie Bowls

This is my go to, no brainer choice of breakfast, for those mornings when I just can’t be bothered to make anything fancy (admit it, we all have those days..) I love the flavour combination of bananas and dates, incredibly sweet, decadent, super creamy it tastes like liquid silk!

Creamy Caramel Banana Smoothie Bowls
1 Large/ 2 Small Servings

6 Large frozen bananas
6 Medjool dates (pitted, chopped)
1c. Almond coconut milk
1-2 tbsp. Organic coconut sugar
1/2tbsp. Organic lacuma powder

To Serve (optional)
Fresh fruits (I added cherries and blueberries)
Blend.co skin mix
Medjool dates (cut into quarters)

Remember you need to freeze your bananas the night (or at least several hours) in advance to making this recipe, simply peel and cut fresh bananas into chunks, pop inside a ziplock bag or container and leave it inside the freezer overnight.

1. Blend all the ingredients until it is smooth and creamy, adjust the volume of non-dairy milk to add based on the consistency you prefer.

If you are worried the smoothie will have trouble blending nicely, separating the frozen bananas into individual slices will help!

2. Once desired consistency has been achieved, pour into a large bowl- or two if you’re sharing- in which case, I applaud you! Sharing food is a skill I have yet to master… (;

3. Top with favourites and serve immediately.
